Martijn Kajuiter Michelin Star Head Chef of Cliff House, Ardmore, County Waterford
The House restaurant at the Cliff House Hotel is the only hotel in Ireland with a Michelin Star.
Martijn grew up in the northern part of Holland and his passion for good food began at an early age as his parents owned a restaurant and they were both wonderful cooks. At the age of 17 Martijn was taken under the wings of Dutch master chef Wynand Vogel in his highly rated restaurant ‘Les Quatre Canetons’.
He continued to work with a range of acclaimed chefs including Marco Pierre White in The Restaurant at The Hyde Park (3 Michelin stars). In September 2007, Martijn decided that a new challenge awaited him, and joined The Cliff House in South East Ireland, relocating his family.
